SMS Program Terms
Last updated 15 September 2026
The RoomQueue text alert programme is not live yet. These terms are published in advance so you can read them before the service opens.
What the programme is
RoomQueue sends text message alerts about hotel room availability for trips you have specifically asked us to watch. A message tells you that a room has opened, what it costs, whether it can be cancelled, and gives you a link to book.
These are transactional alerts about something you asked for. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not text anyone who has not signed up.
How you join
You opt in by entering your mobile number in your RoomQueue account, confirming it with a verification code, and ticking the box agreeing to receive alerts. We record the exact wording shown to you, the date and time, and the IP address, so that consent can be evidenced later.
Text alerts are available on paid plans only.
How often you will hear from us
Message frequency varies and depends on how many trips you are watching and how often rooms open. We cap alerts at one message per trip per hour, unless a genuinely better offer appears — a lower price, or a room type you specifically asked for.
Quiet hours are on by default, from 10pm to 7am in your local time zone. Alerts that arrive in that window wait until morning unless you have marked the trip as urgent.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. RoomQueue does not charge you for individual messages, but your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message. You will get one confirmation that we have stopped, and then nothing further. You can also turn text alerts off in your account settings at any time.
Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
Carriers
Supported on major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and we cannot promise a message will arrive in time to book a particular room.
Privacy
We do not sell phone numbers and we do not share them for anyone else's marketing. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture, and our Terms of Service for the rules of the service generally.
