Terms of Service
Last updated 15 September 2026
These terms cover your use of RoomQueue. By using the site or the service you agree to them.
RoomQueue is not open to the public yet. Right now the only thing you can do here is join a pre-launch email list.
What RoomQueue does
We monitor hotel and short-term rental availability for dates you choose, and alert you when something matching opens up. We are an alerting service. We are not a hotel, a travel agency, or a booking site, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
What we do not promise
- We cannot guarantee you a room. We can tell you when one opens. We cannot make a cancellation happen, and on a genuinely full weekend there may be nothing to find.
- We cannot guarantee you will get there first. Availability can disappear in seconds. Other travellers, and other alert services, are looking too.
- We do not cover every property. We can only watch inventory we have legitimate access to through a booking partner. Where a property is not covered, we will show that.
- Prices come from third parties. They change constantly and may be wrong or out of date by the time you click. The price you pay is the one the booking site charges, not the one in our alert.
- Message delivery is not guaranteed. Email and text both depend on networks we do not control.
Your account
Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be 18 or older. Give us accurate information — an alert sent to the wrong number is not much use.
Paying
Most plans are one-off charges covering a single trip, and they end when the trip's check-in date passes. Subscriptions, where offered, renew until cancelled. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Refunds: if we failed to do what you paid for — we did not check at the frequency of your plan, or we missed an opening we should have caught — tell us and we will refund you. We do not refund because no room ever opened; you paid us to watch, and watching is what we did.
Bookings made on your behalf
If we later offer to complete a booking for you, it will require separate, explicit authorisation, and your contract for the stay will be with the hotel or the booking site — not with us. Their cancellation terms apply. We will pass on what those terms are before anything is booked.
Affiliate relationships
We earn a commission on some bookings made through our links, at no extra cost to you. This does not change which rooms we alert you about: we tell you about anything matching your criteria, including options that earn us nothing. See the Privacy Policy for how that tracking works.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, resell or redistribute our alerts or availability data.
- Do not use the service to hoard or resell hotel inventory.
- Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- One account per person.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will refund unused one-off charges if we do.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including a trip you could not take, a room you did not get, or a price that had changed by the time you clicked. Where we are liable, that liability is limited to what you have paid us in the past twelve months.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time. We may end or change the service, and will give reasonable notice and refund unused one-off charges if we do.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will update the date above and tell registered users by email before the change takes effect.
